If you found this answer useful, please considerTyrell did not discover dinosaurs. The earliest scientific record of the notion of prehistoric creatures was published in 1824 by William Buckland who discovered bits of a jaw in 1815 in England. The term "dinosaur" was first used by Richard Owen in 1842. Before that people thought they were the bones of dragons or giants. You can find out the entire detailed history of dinosaur discovery by reading the excellent Wikipedia entry on dinosaurs.
