What everyday appliance uses electrostatics?

There are electrostatic air filters, that grab bits of dust from the air. Photocopiers use electrostatics to hold the ink on a cylinder as it prints. There are many more including room air ionizers.
There are many other items that involve electrostatics such as spray paint and laser printers. Electrostatics is an extremely interesting subject based around the laws of electromagnetism. For a terribly interesting experiment involving electrostatics I recommend you find yourself a Van de Graff generator.
