What is colour? How does the brain perceive colour?

Colour is the sensation caused by light as it interacts with the eye, brain, and our experience. The perception of colour is also greatly influenced by nearby colours in the visual scene. The term color is also used for the property of objects that gives rise to these sensations. Find out more at the Wikipedia.
