Earth Sciences and Ecology Question #2312
Pat Prokop, a 52 year old female from Orillia asks on October 13, 2004,
Last year a friend of mine widened and deepened an existing pond on his property. A considerable amount of grey clay was excavated at the time. The water was quite cloudy for the rest of the year. In spite of filling to the new banks with runoff and ground water, the cloudiness is persisting. Bullrushes, arrowhead and waterlilies grow naturally in the pond. The purpose of enlarging the pond was to create a "swimming hole" for his grandchildren. What would you suggest to clarify the water?
