A:
If you found this answer useful, please considerYes, this can and has been done many times in the past. The problems always turn out to be storage of the methane. There are several municipal waste dumps and sewage processing systems in the world today whose methane gas products are collected and used by the municipality. Once the methane is produced, it can be filtered, stored, transported and burned the same was as conventional methane. You don't need a special stove.
