The Story

 Kenneth Storey is famous for his studies on how animals hibernate or otherwise turn down their metabolic processes for extended periods of time to deal with adverse conditions such as cold, lack of oxygen, or lack of food and water, etc. He focuses on the biochemical pathways responsible for changes in animals such as fish, frogs, turtles, insects, and mammals. For instance some turtles can live underwater for 3-4 months without breathing. How do they do it?
