Sarah works with Dr. Eric Accili, at the University of British Columbia where she is currently a PhD Candidate in his lab. The main focus of her research is the interactions between a molecule called cyclic AMP and the Pacemaker Channel in the heart. She hopes to one day eliminate the need for artificial pacemakers and regulate heart rate without the hassle of surgery.
