The Story
Berkely published 46 scientific papers, both alone and with her husband Cyril who was an agricultural chemist. Many of these were about polychaete taxonomy (the classification of marine worms). She also had several organisms named for her. Berkely’s achievements were recognized by UBC which established the Edith Berkely Memorial Lectures in 1969.
